#LegendsOfLightning Vol. 2

The #LegendsOfLightning hackathon is back connecting maker communities around the world 🌍! Last year’s edition was so out of this world that we just had to bring you the sequel. So strap on your safety belts and get ready to blast off🚀!

What is it?

An event of epic proportions! The #LegendsOfLightning vol. 2 hackathon is an opportunity for app makers to showcase their skills and creativity to a worldwide 🌍 audience, which includes not only peers but Bitcoin community sponsors, investors, and enthusiasts. We will be awarding tournament participants prizes from a 2.5 BTC prize pool. You will get recognition for your ability to build, solve problems and come up with creative solutions 💡 in the ever-complex Bitcoin ecosystem 🌳. What’s new in #LegendsOfLightning Vol. 2

This time, we’re onboarding international developers for Bitcoin and Lightning. 5 hackathons are linking up to allow the participants to go over their projects in preparations for the finals. That’s the 5 linked partners above 👆.

1. We want to enrich the Bitcoin community with the talent needed to achieve scalability in the space. Our hackathons aim to attract entrepreneurs, developers, makers, designers, and a slew of other talents. 💡

2. The Bitcoin ecosystem is ready for a serious upsurge in innovation. By creating a platform for bitcoiner and freedom tech collaboration, we aim to give a voice to the exciting ideas brewing in every corner of the global community working on Bitcoin🌍.

3. This tournament is trying to attract more founders and interest to Bitcoin. Through the exposure of innovative ideas presented at hackathons, we intend to bring to light 🔦 the inherent technological potential, untapped talent, as well as the essential liberating principles of Bitcoin and Lightning to a wider audience.

4. In the long run, we are providing a community space for the next generation of Bitcoin problem-solvers and pioneers. Through the BOLT.FUN community platform and its hackathon events, talent can find encouragement and growth 🌱by applying the principles of #learninpublic, #buildinpublic, staying in the loop for the latest developments, connecting with other developers and people in the space, discovering builder communities, and more than anything, having fun while doing so 🎉🎉!

Nostrasia Hackathon

Nostrasia is a month long hacking session with a special 3 day sprint at the end 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️. The last part of the tournament will culminate with the sprint and the Nostrasia Tokyo Conference from November 1st to the 3rd. Don’t worry, it’ll be live and in cyberspace, so you won’t miss a beat.

2. Marketplaces & Value4Value - Make freedom of exchange enjoyable by expanding Nostr beyond social networking! Nostr creates pathways for content creators to get support through Lightning ⚡micropayments. This is how Nostr facilitates the potential for creating specialized economies based on exchanging goods, services, and ideas through different channels like marketplaces, fundraising, blogs, music, and streaming. Take part in this track to come up with visionary ways of integrating Nostr and Bitcoin for commerce and help foster emerging the value4value culture ⚖️. Prize breakdown: $1,000
