Solution 🚀

Let's re-think how media and information-distribution could work, possibly make it decentralised again, and also globally accessible as it should be. Let's brainstorm a Community-driven, multi-language, self-printable, open-source, auto-distributed digital tabloid/zine to connect small communities around the universe.

Assuming the proposed content structure is really valuable, the business model to create a such small 10-page zine/newspaper for a small community is really sustainable (especially if supported only by sponsors paying for having ads space there and reach such a small audience?)...

The idea indeed, can be improved/evolve to build a platform that is able to collect different types of content, geolocate it, and automagically generate a PDF that can be printed locally and distributed anywhere by anyone at a really low cost (just need a printer and two A4 sheets)

I.e.: this will allow the ElSalvador edition (in Spanish) to be printed in any Salvadorean Embassy across the world

So the current state of the materialised idea has been designed here

The next step will be to create the design for the platform/website responsible to collect and distribute the contents

Anyone interested in contributing -- and/or providing any feedback/suggestions -- will be much welcomed.

How it could be built? 🛠

Sometimes, a small lightning bolt is enough to connect the last dots of an idea that took years to come through.

Thanks to a small darth stacked news, these dots have connected on the dark side of a moon. The idea to democratise media and bring information/power back to the humans that most need, where most needed. Somehow, an archetyped reality that needed to be materialised somehow.

So hands back to the most familiar tools, some sketches helped formalise this idea in something more concrete and tangible:

a platform that publishes a print-friendly file, allowing for self-print and local distribution of geolocated information, allowing prior customization (e.g. localized ads)... would be people interested in distributing information and news about bitcoin (ONLY) in a guerrilla marketing fashion?

Well, it will not take that much effort to print out (colour or greyscale, you decide) a 2sheets-A4-pdf zine and bring it to your local meetup. Or leave a few copies at the bakery where you go every morning and, after paying with sats, ask the cashier... "Hey, can I leave a few copies of this zine in your shop?"

Assemblage step-by-step

So above described, how printing and distribution could work. On the other side, everyone knows the contents are the bloidy blood that will keep the project alive. That's why we want Anyone, from all around the universe, to be able of submitting any content, in any language, under one of the following categories:

Bitcoin headline news: latest news about Bitcoin related, the most updated, the better (no shitcoinery please)
How To Tutorials: "how to use... xxx" and post a simple guide about x Bitcoin solution / app / wallet etc. Each week a new one. Simple, not super technical, enough to be assimilated by normal people.
Interviews with local Bitcoiners: (Audio/Text only? Podcast?) interview with not-only-important figures, but also with normal users, telling their adoption stories. Show the whole world how its done, mate.
Bitcoin Product/Service review: (Like ProductHunt?) some bitcoin product/service promotion, sell the space to those who want to be there. Could be also like community ads, announcements (ex. new merchant announcing his acceptance of bitcoin, or promotion paying with bitcoin). Whatever other things to promote bitcoin businesses.
Q&A: (Forum?) readers corner. Readers of the newspaper can send questions and experts can answer them. Short questions - short answers. Give them a voice and make them participate, so will be more interested in the main topic!
Bitcoin Core Software: let's help plebs understand Bitcoin Core -> releases, announce important updates of usual bitcoin software and explain a bit about them. Also to fill out the page, you could give the developer the occasion to announce and pitch his software. Make them be heard. If the page is not filled, could be used with other bitcoin ads (many will want to buy that space).
FUD News with counter-argument: take each latest FUD news from legacy media and counter-argument it
Art & Memes: Any artist around, we bet you know one! an opportunity for bitcoin artists to emerge and have a space. Also the latest funny memes, jokes, funny news etc. Let's don't be too serious and bring some smiles to the face of the reader.
Events: meetups, conferences and informal-gatherings obviously related with bitcoin only themes
Job$ board: yes, bitcoin-only, for people looking for collaborators and/or for organizations to empower/grow their teams
Buy/Sell Ads: A simple and useful marketplace for bitcoin-only products
Advertisers: can submit ads proposals and decide which distribution the ads will have in the network (online and print)

The online platform will be then responsible to ensure that all contents will be standardised, geolocated (local-community, entire-country, around-the-globe or universal-distr) and categorised (as per above mentioned categories).

For example, when the platform will have collected enough contends to fill a BLOID_ZINE (i.e.: El Salvador edition) then everyone subscribed to El_Salvador issue will receive an email with the invite to download the PDF version of the zine. If needed the zine will be also available in an online edition (Bundled content already published on the site)

At that point, the pleb receiving the email, will be able to:

Review the online version of the El_Salvador > BLOID_ZINE edition
Download El_Salvador > BLOID_ZINE edition in PDF
Print and distribute the bloidy information
