What doesn't kill Lightning makes it stronger ⚡️💪

The past few weeks have been a little bit rough for Bitcoin's Lightning Network, especially to all those who have been running LND. In case you missed it, there were 2 bugs that were exposed and exploited. The Lightning Labs team were quick to respond, patching the bugs as fast as they could. But this didn't help some people think...

Is lightning really as stable as we thought it was?

The answer, as always, was no. Bitcoin is still an experiment, as is lightning. It's part of the fun but it's worth bearing in mind. However, one user on Twitter noted:

Every time a bug is found and dealt with, Bitcoin gets stronger.

I tend to agree, and it got me thinking. Is there a fun, easy way to show every bug that has been exposed, disclosed, and dealt with in Bitcoin's short history? Whilst some might shudder at the idea of seeing a list of them, I think it's kinda cool. It reminded me of the Japanese art of Kintsugi, a way of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum.

Kintsugi 金継ぎ
As a philosophy, it treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise.

So I decided to get my designer hat on and come up with a fun website concept that displays Bitcoin in the form of kintsugi, by showing its history of bugs as a way of showing its beauty and strength. As always, if someone wishes to build it, please do!
