Week1: Bitcoin-native Project Management & Team Collaboration
This project (codename: Trinary) is the iteration of an open-source tool I use to track projects, cashflows, and team resources for my small business. Projects may involve long-term development of production applications or smaller experiments, proof-of-concepts, demos, etc.
The goal of this iteration will be to upgrade the feature set and architecture so that it can be deployed as a platform in addition to still being useful as an open-source tool.
We have begun planning and scoping which UIUX designs we will need and considering what kinds of design goals we want for the data model and system architecture.
We're using GitHub Discussions & Issues for documenting this: https://github.com/setlife-network/trinary/discussions/686#discussion-4403905
The full scope has not been decided yet but these are some key elements we'd like to build:
-
Make it easy for project Admins to distribute funds to the rest of their team for successful milestones and work accomplishments paid as BTC bonuses
-
Enable users to be paid in BTC by connecting their own a dedicated BTCLN wallet node or by automatically spawning a node on Voltage
-
Build towards a user experience that allows anyone in the world to use it as a platform for coordinating teams & human resources
-
DIY architecture to run the entire platform alongside a home server running Bitcoin and/or Lightning
