Week 7 nolooking ⚡️👀 PPPs

First, dear judges, thank you for selecting us as Legends of Lightning finalists. We are honored to share the stage with the forefront of lightning makers.

Come see us present live tomorrow at 20:00-20:15 UTC. This is the main event. The competition is hot. Your socks better be taped to your legs or they will be blown off.

Plans 📆

We plan to continue to iterate on feedback from customers. Our next steps focus on distribution.

Adam "waxwing" Gibson of JoinMarket fame reached out to test nolooking's compatibility with JoinMarket. He has great insight. Using nolooking, a merchant could splice incoming on-chain funds into existing channels via a payjoin. He’s one of the strongest wizards in this space. We will work closely with Adam this week. All visions of bitcoin's future point to the kinds of magic he thinks up.

Progress ✅

Since our semi-final submission, we have iterated on customer feedback and approach wider distribution through two new build outs by talking to users.

Yesterday, we made our first successful proxied inbound capacity delivery in partnership with Africa Free Routing. Read more in the Problems section. We have been impressed. Shaking hands can be easier than technical solutions (looking at you, sidecar channels).

We also drafted our first integration with BDK. Our payjoin library was added to a BDK wallet in one afternoon. PayJoin setup has never been so simple . You can test our testnet-only integration with the diba-io/bitmask-core RGB assets protocol wallet if you dare.

The Diamond Hands community just released their Boltz-based swap service. We established some steps toward an integration together. Boltz should pay out swaps via privacy-preserving transactions.

Problems ✋

Our biggest problem this week was delivering to new customers, a good problem to have.

Even though we weren’t sure how to deliver inbound without coming up with the sats ourselves, we put the option out there. We offer a 1,000,000 sat channel with a UI toggle. Would nolooking users buy inbound from us in that first QR scan?

Yes, the sats started to flow in. But other than putting more sats into our node, we weren’t sure how to meet the growing demand. By the time we got sats in our node, one customer went offline and would not accept a channel. We had to refund them on-chain.

Ultimately, we can fill customer demand through Africa Free Routing to provide reliable service together. I have nothing but good to say about the collab.

New collaboration serving customers is what Legends of Lightning is all about.
