Week 4: Switching to Production for Lightning
Well, the Bolt fun build season is gradually coming to an end, so as assumed, development for PennyBit is rounding up also. So far so good for this week:
Progress π€πΌ
From the mobile perspective, progress has been made particularly in terms of screen slicing. Currently, we are working on finalizing the Dashboard UI after which we would work on consuming the APIs needed for the application.
For the backend side, we can safely say that we have been able to test all needed endpoints locally and they are good to go. We have been able to use Polar to test the lightning endpoints, these include invoice generation, invoice lookup, invoice payment amongst other.
ToDos π€πΌ

Polar is built for regtest network environment, so building a production application based on that isnβt a good idea. We are going to be working on leveraging Voltage cloud platform for the production. Majority of our backend task is understanding how the platform works (using resources such as voltage documentation), building on their application.

For the mobile, Work would be around wrapping up screen designs and begin consumption of APIs. This would also be similar task for the web, just that in this instance, the web would be updated with the new APIs that have been made available.
Thinking... π€
This was fun. We're truly grateful to Bolt.fun for the opportunity to build this. We would try to catch up with the remaining days of the hackathon to build our product fully. I also believe my team would be interested in taking this further, so I hope to see how far we can go with this, even after the end of the hackathon.
Happy Hacking βπΌ
