Week 2 Recap
We're trying a new SUCC/SUCK/LEARN/HELP format. Please bear with us.
SUCCCESS
After some complex builds we got our app working in Umbrel baby.
Our Halloween themed front-end is accessible and handles some errors
Check out our detailed guide for building Rust code into an Umbrel app using multistage builds for x86 and ARM architectures:

SUCK
Armin and Dan got together in person to provision all of our dependencies, bitcoind, lnd and nolooking with a new configuration all to help one user on testnet. We realized that is not the avenue forward, so we stopped. A sunk cost is a sunk cost.
Nick thought he killed Sateater, our cobbled together payment gateway. We updated to LND 15.3 in Voltage but something was wrong. Our node failed to return invoices. It would just time out.
Looking at the Voltage dashboard, it seemed all was well with straight green ticks across our dashboard. Our node was connected and we had our macaroon. After some debugging we finally checked the inner settings of Voltage to discover a “Synced to chain: False” under the Network tab.
Slightly frustrated, we restarted our node and were quickly synced again. We can now generate invoices again, please test it out. Keep in mind this is experimental software. There may be loss of funds. https://nolooking.chaincase.app/donate.html.
LEARN
We experimented with CashU e-cash, an area we’re interested in exploring later on. During our research we hacked together what may be one of the first e-cash payment processors. More on that soon.
We’ve grown fond of using DALL-E not only to create images for quick prototypes, but also to use those images as a base to create more refined custom graphics.
..and the GIFs.. stay tuned.
DALLE x Photopea is a killer combo for those moving quickly and the artistically challenged.
