We won a Hackathon...!
Hackathon is always about learning and not about winning...! But winning gives the credibility to what we built.
It is always a heartwarming experience when multiple Hackathons take place simultaneously, and the recent occurrence of several events brought about a sense of excitement. PlebAI, an emerging force in the realm of Artificial Intelligence, had already achieved a notable victory by winning the Hackathon conducted by PremAI and Langchain. However, the essence of a Hackathon is not solely about winning but rather about the journey of learning and growth it entails. For me, it all began when I ventured into the labyrinthine world of AI and stumbled upon premai.io. The platform's shared commitment to supporting open source communities and prioritizing privacy resonated deeply with me.
Within mere hours, I was able to set up a local language model and witness its effective operation. It was an exhilarating moment that confirmed the platform's dedication to addressing real-world problems. Eager to contribute and receive assistance, I immersed myself in the PlebAI community on Discord.
PlebAI stands in stark contrast to the principles of its counterpart, OpenAI, often dubbed "closedAI." While the latter prefers to maintain a closed ecosystem, retaining user data and lobbying for regulations to protect its interests, PlebAI upholds a staunchly open approach. Embracing open source code, PlebAI operates with the vision of utilizing only open source Language Models (LLMs).
Looking forward to working with Premai team and build a safer, open, and better AI.
