The Story of a Newbie Bitcoin Developer

Let's start from the beginning, before I even knew about bitcoin! My journey, Belluzzo, began at the age of 15, creating Minecraft servers and collaborating with famous YouTubers. It was in this universe that my passion for development began to blossom.

In 2022, I took a significant step forward by joining FIAP and participating in the SHIFT Frontend Specialist program. After completing this stage, I immediately began my undergraduate studies in Software Engineering in 2023. It was in that same year that the story I'm about to share reached its peak: my incredible journey in hackathons, winning 14 podiums, with SatsHack being the most extraordinary of them all. Allow me to guide you through this unique experience from the very beginning.

Initially, I was hesitant to take part in SatsHack, as I knew absolutely nothing about bitcoin and felt insecure. However, Breno, who is simply the best at Machine Learning I've ever met, came along and invited me to join his team. With my friend Denilson by my side, I had no doubts: I accepted immediately! During the event, I also met my friend Victor and invited him to join our team.

We went, embarking on one of the craziest stories I've ever experienced. On the first day of the event, everything was in English, which impressed me a lot. The quality of the projects presented was incredible, and the most curious thing was that I didn't know anything about bitcoin at the time, but I was excited to compete.

How did I develop the project without knowing anything about bitcoin? It was challenging; I learned how to create MiniScript to train our AI, and with my app development and UI/UX design skills, I developed the demo for the project in just two days.

Something interesting! I had never made a Lightning transaction in my life, but I had already learned to log in with this technology! I found it very cool, and I want to learn more and more!

On the next day, tired, nearing the end of the hackathon, I went home, slept for a while, and then returned to the event. It was there that we discovered we were the champions of the largest bitcoin hackathon in Brazil. The emotion was indescribable, the sweetest victory for all the effort and adventures lived. This is one of those stories I will tell everyone, full of twists, unexpected friendships, and a victory that will be etched forever!
