Shocknet: Week in Review
Lightning.Pub Progress
This week we got the scaffolding in place to build off of [Lightning.Pub](https://github.com/shocknet/Lightning.Pub))
Before we can support accounts over LNURL in NOSTR, we first need an accounts system that is secure, scalable, and easy to turn out client libraries for.
We were able this week to implement accounts and atomic operations for secure ACL's and balance updates.
A fee regime has also been implemented that will incentivize more node operators to provide services in their social circle, and achieve the noble aims of distributed on-ramps.
The week ahead
We will be implementing the NOSTR actions and a select list of LNURL LUD's.
Once these are defined, our in-house protogen tool will allow us to churn out a client library for use in Shockwallet.
If we meet our goals this week of testing the client library, we should be on track to complete our Hackathon goal of a usable draft of Shockwallet.
Shockwallet Progress
Design work that envisions UX for a wallet made for managing multiple accounts from disparate services has been a fun challenge.
If we are successful in this approach, it will create an incentive for services to standardize on protocols rather than each also building their own wallet.
One such protocol that would be optimal for all services to offer with their withdrawals, is [LUD-19](https://github.com/lnurl/luds/blob/luds/19.md)..)
[LUD-19](https://github.com/lnurl/luds/blob/luds/19.md)) would make any service that allows withdrawals to become a defacto wallet provider, further distributing custodial boostrap services.
Sprinkle in having your own node linked in said wallet, with channel creation permissions, the friction of obtaining liquidity for your node is erased.
The week ahead
Real dev work has yet to begin on the wallet as we anticipate the bulk of work to be done by the client library, but in advance of that, we will this week seek further assistance on the front end to stage CSS and other tasks necessary for generating a baseline Ionic app.
# Can you help with Design or Front End?
We'll bring in a mercenary if we have to for the front-end on Shockwallet, but would much prefer to work with an empassioned Bitcoiner who wants to help own this project well into the future.
Also, if you notice the design looks like it was made by an engineer, it has been :)
