PPPs: Get In - Week 5 🚀
Plans 📆
During the upcoming week, we will put all the different pieces of the project together:
-
Mobile app: get the first version of the app deployed to Google Play and App Store
-
Website: Enable signing in with sharing user info
-
Business development: Refine our business model with extra focus on value proposition
-
Design: Use the input from user tests to improve the UX further
Progress ✅
This week we have added a key functionality - being able to sign in on the same device. A user can now simply click on the QR code on the website on the same device and an option will pop up to open the link in Get In, where the user sign in as usual 🔥
We have also created the base for our website. The purpose of the website will primarily be to act as a platform where new users can learn about Get In and test it. Check it out here https://getin.id/
User testing and design
We have done user testing in three rounds. After the first two, we made some adjustments: we removed the history page and made settings clearer. We also moved Personal info to Settings, to keep the home menu as clean as possible.
Our user tests were made in different simple steps, here is an example from the latest user test:
-
Change your username
-
Log in to a webpage while sharing your username with the webpage
-
Find your backup phrase
When we have presented our project to people, everyone has reflected on the crazy number of usernames and passwords they have. So far, everyone has been very positive about the solution we are offering – a password-less but secure login experience. During the latest user tests, the app was perceived as easy to understand and really fast. Everyone thought the existing functions were enough for a good login experience. We have mainly done user tests with Swedes but also with Norwegians, Italians and Argentinians. Even though we are happy about the positive feedback, one must consider that all Swedish people are familiar with the Bank ID app, which works similarly to ours. Swedes thus have an advantage here, but the fact that 97 % of Swedish adults use the Bank ID app is also a signal that it is an appreciated and user-friendly way to log in - we just offer it globally and more secure since our app is built with lightning.
Main user comments:
-
High user-friendliness
-
Fast
-
Nice color/design
-
Good readability - no problem with white text on green (big difference with bolder letters)
-
Responsiveness is good (users get visual feedback when the login is successful and when they save new personal info)
Problems ✋
Unfortunately, our app has not yet been approved for Google Play or App Store, but that doesn't mean our development progress has stopped!
