🚦PPP #05⚡️LNDg.xyz -> New Traditional Approach

This past week, after running a few other surveys and dedicating some time to interviewing some experienced node runners, we decide to change our approach and focus firstly on improving their experience using LNDg's current interface.

The few options designed, v1.4 and v2.0 for the LNDg GUi have been great playgrounds to experiments and gathering data from any persona that has been so keen to participate in our research and provide feedback. Thank you 🙏

Plans 📆

• Continue research in a more detailed and feature-specific way

• Release and submit features-specific pull requests on the existing repo

• Research, design, code, test and repeat

Progress ✅

• Released feature-specific surveys and gathered more data about the use of LNDg by expert node runners

• Started collaboration with de Lightning Design Community where we explored simplified interfaces mock-ups made with ideas for simplifying lightning node management Ui

Problems ✋

• We realised that the approach of making LNDg accessible to inexperienced node runners will not benefit the network nor the users themselves, as there are much more applications in the market that are designed to satisfy basic users' needs.
