Why We Need It?

Half of U.S. adults need more affordable and accessible healthcare solutions. (Read more on our blog posts) - Americans’ Challenges with Health Care Costs (KFF, Jul 14 2022)

As a result, 41% of adults currently have debt due to medical or dental bills.
And 43% of U.S. adults have delayed or gone without medical care due to the cost.

Many of them visit online Q&A platforms, but they have the following problems:

Free solutions (e.g. Quora or Reddit)
- Unsure of the authenticity and credibility of the doctor.
- Relying solely on the goodwill of the doctor increases the chance of not receiving a response.
Paid solutions (e.g. JustAnswer)
- Many people complain that their business model is tricky (Ref). This can cause users to pay accidentally.

Features

AI, such as GPT-3.5/4, provides quick advice to users. It can suggest basic remedies to be done at home or suggest the best time to visit a hospital based on the condition.
Verified doctors worldwide validate the AI's advice and add their own opinions. 🤖 +🧑‍⚕️
Users ask questions for free or with a bounty they set. 100% of the bounty goes to doctors (We don't take any fee from the bounty)
The question with a higher bounty gets prioritized to be answered. (Just like the Bitcoin transaction fees).
The bitcoins that users can spend on bounties can be reloaded via Lightning. Conversely, doctors can withdraw bitcoins earned through answers to their Lightning wallet.
The higher the demand for doctors' resources, the more likely the fees will be increased.. Vice versa.

Monetization opportunities

Fee for premium features
- Advanced AI Advice from GPT-4 (Currently, advice from GPT-3.5 is provided by default for free)
- Advanced filter options such as specialty, country, and language.
Subscription fee
- Doctors can earn bitcoin bounty without any fee up to $1,000 per month
- As they earn more, we would charge doctors to use our platform where they can efficiently do their job and find customers and patients.
- We will cover tele 'medicine' areas like Teladoc in countries and states where compliance issues have been resolved. This will increase the potentials for doctors to earn more.

Bitcoin: LND Node (Voltage), LNURL (Pay, withdraw and soon login)

Challenges

We failed to use L402 for our project. Because
- The L402 standard is primarily designed for authentication and payments in distributed systems. However, our already existing has user accounts using firebase authentication token, and user wallets that uses Lightning network (for deposits and withdrawals). Therefore there is no suitable use case for L402 at the moment.
- However, we think that in the future, we might add features that permit users to either use our product anonymously leveraging L402 for payments and authentication and/ or add elevated access to certain features.
- Also, with our current micro services architecture of payment on a different server from our questions server, we need more time to fit L402 between these servers and our client.
We realized we needed to build a PWA since Apple rejected Damus' Zap feature.
We're studying Nostr, Web5, Holepunch, and others to encrypt and store users' sensitive data on nodes or relays they control and share it securely with their doctors. There's so much to learn and validate.
There's a lot to review and consider in compliance and user protection.
Prompt engineering that returns consistent and expected outcome.
