Our new format for MEET THE MAKERS podcast seems to be getting a good response
This year we rebooted the MEET THE MAKERS podcast and it seems to not be doing so bad. Almost 100 views in the first 4 days, while we have no events going on.
What we changed (progress)
-
Design thumbnails for YouTube. We tried the MrBeast thing to try to create an interesting thumbnail.
-
Make the video title more interesting for a more general audience
-
Capture the origin story of the maker instead of "how did you get into bitcoin" or why it's important. Those things will get revealed in other ways and don't need to be the primary focus
-
Improved production quality. We start with a hook, then the meet the makers motion graphics done in-house by Pavle our motion designer and editor.
Plans (for the next video)
-
Increase engagement on the video (more comments / conversation)
-
Use a better camera and mic for recording on my end. MacBook webcam ain't cutting it.
-
Promote our PEAK SHIFT services since not many people know about the consulting we offer.
-
Record interviews back to back, and find a way to weave the stories into one another. Connecting the dots as Marina says.
Problems
-
I need to improve as an interviewer and speaker. Take more pauses, and be more mindful of the time since I can waffle on for hours with these guests.
-
Since we will not only be interviewing popular makers, how might we get the audience interested in their story if they aren't aware of them or their work?
-
How might we keep attention through out the video?
-
How might we keep people excited about the next episode?
P.S. The first episode with Bryan of Abbot the winner of Education & Community award at #LegendsOfLightning vol. 2 watch his episode here.
