Nos2x Redesign, #NostrHack 23'

For #NostrHack 23', I am going to redesign the current version of @fiatjaf's NOS2X signer.

What is NOS2X?

NOS2X is a web extension that allows users to sign Nostr events on web-apps without having to give them their keys. They can create or import a Nostr private key, add and save preferred relays. When interacting with a website (like BOLT🔩FUN), users can sign events (e.g posting stories) and broadcast them across other relays.

Redesigning the extension

As you can see, the extension could use a bit of, well, let's call it... design love. Using the Lightning UI kit which I created at Fulmo's hackday in Instanbul last year, I will recreate some of the existing screens, as well as adding in any new ones that could help onboard users, manage their keys, relays, and more. If I have the time, I'd also like to whip up a design for a landing page that has the relevant links, developer resources, and download instructions.

Phase 1: Mapping out the current NOS2X UX

With any good design journey, I always start by mapping out the current state of the application, noting down first impressions, journeys, and any other design bits that spring to mind. This will help me recreate what's already there, and hopefully identify a couple of areas that could use some extra attention.
