Lightning addresses

I set up a lightning address for the first time when I set up my profile here on bolt.fun. I initially thought I could copy and paste my receive address from Breez, but I soon learned that it doesn't work like that.

I then got pointed to a couple of providers after which I chose [email protected] because I previously created an account with them but never set up an address.

I also learned that lightning addresses are for receiving only and not sending which broke my brain a bit as my mental model was based on email which shares the same format.

I still don't quite get it yet but I will be digging into it a bit more.
