Letting the fears go and joining the Maker community ✨
Hello there BOLT.FUN community!
You probably know me as a Community Manager for BOLT.FUN, but I'm actually a maker myself, just a slightly different kind. I've been doing New Media Arts for few years now, mostly focusing on performance and participative art. A year ago I started taking interest in building Web Art and Product Design, building projects like Truth, But In Pink for example.
At the time I started working for BOLT.FUN, an idea for a web project started slowly cooking in my brain, but kept quiet about it because I still knew nothing about Bitcoin, Nostr and advanced developing. I got used to working on my projects mostly alone, but while working for BOLT.FUN during these 3 months and learning about #BuildingInPublic, seeing this wonderful community inspired me to create a project and share progress with you! :)
What is "Tag Your Memory"?
"Tag Your Memory" is an innovative New Media Art project in progress, designed to connect people from the globe through the map of shared memories. With "Tag Your Memory" participants have the opportunity to contribute to a communal cartographic diary of experiences, all while remaining anonymous.
Imagine being able to revisit your favorite memories and share them with others anonymously, regardless of geographical boundaries. With this website you can do just that. Simply select the location of your cherished memory, choose a category or emotion that best represents it, and share your story with the world.
"Tag Your Memory" is more than just a platform for personal reflection. It's a space for exploration, empathy, relating and connection. As you share your own memories, you'll also have the opportunity to read the stories of others, gaining insight into their lives, experiences, and perspectives.
PPP's
Progress:
-
I've successfully created the main concept, design, figma components and a prototype with minor bugs, but Lana wants to help me with solving it out, you can see it on the project profile
-
I managed to create a globe map with Mapbox API using Angular that is currently only visible on my local hosting
Plans & reaching out for help:
- I shared my project with Johns, because I'm struggling with the Backend structure, I have really limited knowledge about developing in general. My vision is that the website shouldn't require any kind of logging and information leaving, which makes it difficult for storing the memories. He suggested that I should use Nostr based Backend
If you guys have any idea that would help me bring this project to reality while using Nostr, it would mean the world to me. I'm ready to do my research and learn about Nostr, but I could really use some guidance and ideas on how to make it work. :)
Hope you like the project idea and if you have any questions, feel free to ask away!
