Is 37Signals going to start for business models to move away from SAAS?

37Signals is going back to one time payment as a software sales model. Packaging up some of their original suite of tools and allowing you to download it yourself. A good tactic if you ask me to expand their customer base by making hype, and reusing their existing assets.

Do you think this is reaction to larger customer demand or does it actually have the potential to trigger a movement?
