Bitcoin Product Community's Opportunity Board 🚀

The Bitcoin Product Community has launched a volunteer opportunity board for Bitcoin FOSS projects. This is a place for FOSS projects to post non-technical volunteer opportunities to contribute to their project. The post will then be advertised to our community to help you find a contributor.

Problems & Solutions 🚨

Contributing to Bitcoin FOSS projects is hard. There is a wealth of value-driven and passionate individuals who are looking to contribute to bitcoin but don't know where to start. On the other hand, Bitcoin FOSS projects typically have the right technical contributors but are lacking in non-technical roles such as product, marketing, community development, documentation, and more.

This is especially true for projects born out of hackathons such as #AI4ALL who want to keep pushing their projects forward.

Our volunteer opportunity board seeks to connect these two groups of people.

  • Marketers

  • Technical writers for documentation

  • Community builders

How do I post a role?

Click here and submit an issue. Make sure to fill out as much information as you can.

Once people comment, you can decide who you want to reach out to. You can reach out to multiple people.

How do I volunteer for an opportunity?

If you are a contributor and an opportunity looks interesting to you, comment on the issue. It would be helpful to provide some background info on your skill set and why you are interested in the role. This will notify the poster via email. Then follow the instructions in the "How to Connect" section.

You can also subscribe to the repo in order to get email notifications of new opportunities that get posted by going to the repo -> watch -> custom -> issues.
