Introducing PlebAI 2.0, the real Open AI
Ever since our involvement in the AI4ALL hackathon, the AI landscape has undergone significant transformation. The enthusiasm surrounding the event seems to have catalyzed a wave of innovation. A growing number of individuals and teams have been dedicating their efforts to training the open-source Llama2 language model. What makes these endeavors particularly noteworthy is that these models are now infused with datasets rich in domain-specific expertise. In many instances, these enhanced models have the potential to surpass the capabilities of ChatGPT 4.
While they call it as OpenAI, it is actually closed source with only few people know what weights they are using and how the model will respond. With PlebAI, let us show them the real Open AI.
Interestingly, another development in the community has been the decision to eschew some of the safety measures implemented by OpenAI. While these "guardrails" were designed with good intentions, aiming to prevent potential misuse and ensure ethical usage, many in the community felt they were restrictive. There was a perception that these measures, rather than providing a safety net, were inhibiting the full potential of the technology, leading some to describe them as "guard rail crap". The sentiment was that these guardrails were more of a hindrance than a help, with some even suggesting they were a source of frustration.
The culmination of these developments is that today, we have access to AI models that are not only more cost-effective but also devoid of filters. This paves the way for an explosion of creativity and experimentation, allowing users to venture into territories previously considered unattainable with platforms like ChatGPT.
In this release, we included a feature were any user can create AI agents and make it work for them. They can make it private or public. The idea here is to bring out creativity from the community to build out agents that can then we linked together to solve any complex problem. We are only scratching the surface now. Will see how we can take this to the next level.
