eNuts x Nostr

I'm Erik, a Bitcoin UX designer. Alongside Agron, an exceptional developer, we're working a project called eNuts. eNuts is a mobile Cashu (an open-source Chaumian ecash system) wallet with Lightning support and can integrate with multiple mints. Through its NOSTR integration, eNuts facilitates seamless transactions between users and their Nostr contacts (npubs they follow).

A key capability we're aiming for eNuts to have is the functionality to transmit and receive Cashu ecash via Nostr. Currently, eNuts enables users to input an npub, which subsequently syncs all corresponding Nostr contacts into an address book. Our goal is to simplify the process for users to send eCash tokens to these contacts.

Here are some enhancements we're looking to incorporate during this hackathon:

• A search-by-name option

• A list of frequently used contacts

• A 'favorite contact' feature, identifiable by a star icon, which would prioritize these contacts at the top of the user interface

• A search-by-public-key feature

• Address book UI enhancements, including refinements to the 'send to contact' flow

We believe ecash and Nostr are a match made in heaven. Ecash not only piggybacks off the speed and affordability of Lightning transactions but offers enhanced privacy. When combined with Nostr's inherent resistance to censorship, it creates a potent combination. Let's explore how we can mesh ecash and Nostr!
