Designing a Nostr community relay
The other weekend I had a really inspiring conversation with @metamick about Geyser, BOLT.FUN and #nostr. We've always wanted to have some kind of interoperability between both Geyser x BOLT.FUN and have even discussed using #nostr to achieve this in the past. Seems with all this excitement it's even a more signal to go down this path.
Our new comments section already turns this site more into a client. @mtg has been doing a bunch of work to refactor it try testing it out below by the way. Still trying to iron out some of the UX issues.
Avoiding Spam + Monetising
Basically pay or do some work to get access to the relay.
Caching
We need the experience to be fast on the client as people expect with a normal web experience.
Broadcasting
#nostr itself is a social network, as much as it is a protocol to build social applications.
Geyser has 30% of their logins using
profiles are going to broadcast to a set of relays so that content is more discoverable.
Right to be forgotten
GDPR is a thing. We can guarantee things being deleted from our relay but can't anywhere else but maybe we can broadcast requests to have content to be removed / hidden from other relays.
Working on #peakshift #boltfun and #bitcoindesign
