A Pitch for #fynstr

Stack sats by offering your skills over nostr with fynstr.

Are you a web designer? A translator? Or maybe a video editor? Well, in fynstr you can offer your services to other users and get rewarded. And everything using nostr relays!

fynstr is created to help people providing their skills and connect with those who are seeking for their services while offering a good user experience with a great design.

We found that there is not yet any projects that use nostr open-source protocol to build a marketplace for offering services between users using lightning payments.

This is where we imagine a place that make users have an easier way to find each other, transact, communicate and exchange directly in a private manner without relying on third parties.

As we have been observing a lot of factors such as relays choice, interactions between users, freedom of speeches, spams and undesired contents together with the huge usage of LN as a quick zap or payment, it is where it comes to our minds there is a need to round offers that are worthy to be listed as service announcements in one place, but still maintain in nostr users' notes stored in relays.

fynstr helps users to easily look for what service they need, or propose their own; and everything organised in one place.

So, we just started writing down all possibilities with extensive research, a lot of late-nights and discussions.

• 8 is the number of sleepless nights we tested, modified and turned fynstr into reality

Our website is https://fynstr.com/ and this is where the journey starts!

All the service announcements are collected on our Explore page. fynstr only displays those with #fynstr hashtag from nostr user's note. Additionally, it is possible to filter by the "Offer" or "Find" categories on the searching bar. Details as price and description are specified in each card announcement. User can click on it and get redirected to the original note.

There is a "Post" button showing users how to post an announcement. At this moment, users just need to create a post from their nostr client to show it on the website.

But we also thought... What if we can increase the nostr and Bitcoin adoption with our app? We have a detailed guide on how to start! fynstr is for everyone, including those who are new on nostr.

We believe that fynstr will be useful and adaptable to nostr community as:

A) A practical use case for the nostr ecosystem
B) An open marketplace where service providers, or "nostriches", can freely offer their skills and connect with others seeking their services
C) A recurring practice that familiarizes users with the usability of the Lightning Network and facilitates learning about Bitcoin
D) A good way to stack sats using your skills while helping others
